"Lord, save Russia and bring her peace." -Czar Nicholas II; Oct. 17, 1905

March 27, 2004

Hello, and welcome to zapominanie romanovy // remembering the romanovs. I built this site back when I was 14 - I'm 19 now, so it's been around for a while, at least. I grew interested in the Romanov family when I was in seventh grade, and have been reading about them off and on ever since. I'm in the process of re-working some of the information on this site (as I learned that one of the books I used originally was unreliable), so things aren't as complete as I'd like them to be. I do hope, though, that you'll enjoy your time here! Thanks for visiting.

-Haley

"I have a firm, an absolute conviction that the fate of Russia -- that my own fate and that of my family -- is in the hands of God who has placed me where I am. Whatever may happen to me, I shall bow to His will with the consciousness of never having had any thought other than that of serving the country which He has entrusted to me." -Czar Nicholas II
